MAN WITH A PAN...Listen up, Daddy!

Culinary Adventures of Fathers Who Cook for Their Families? Hmmmmm. I love how utterly different this book is.

Inside are tips and recipes for everyday and gourmet from a bunch of fathers who cook for their families.

Here's the catch. The said fathers boiling water all just happen to be A-list writers. Yep. The fellas in Man With a Pan entertainingly share kitchen tales and toils, providing us the opportunity to try their tried and true recipes.

Editing by John Donohue, Man With a Pan is not your mama's cookbook. In fact without a single glossy photo of a roasted chicken or creme brulee, the book succeeds at fabulous FUN.

It's fun to read about what chef Mario Batali prepares at home when no one's looking or what Stephen King suggests when you don't feel like cooking.

In addition to engaging tales, there are more than 60 recipes and cartoons from the New Yorker (Donohue is also a cartoonist!).

Fathers who feel at home or terrified in the kitchen will especially love this title, but everyone deserves a look.
